Tony Ames I was in Las Lomas some days ago, because I wanted to do a special Piece which you could on our web site. I spent all Sunday there; I had to go to many houses, because on Sunday the dinning rooms are not in use. Everywhere I went people were very happy to see me, and asked me about Mike and when he would be coming back again. Most of them are looking forward to seeing Mike soon again.
Children have started their classes at school this week. Here its summer and that Sunday was especially hot; but it was ok because everybody is so friendly and in each house I arrived the ladies gave me a glass of chichi (a Fruit juice from Peru).
I had many interviews with the presidents of the dinning rooms and I was checking the progress of the working in some buildings. Most people in Las Lomas have been working in A Trabajar Urbano a work program of the government. They decided to work in this program because they can get some money, so for this reason the progress of the work in some dinning rooms like Cruz del Norte has been slow. Fortunately this program is over on the 15th March, so after that people will come back to work, just before Mike will arrive here.
That day I also visited Ricardo. He is a boy who was born with a problem in his legs, he can't walk. He is usually sitting in his wheelchair in the door of his house. He lives with his parents and 4 brothers. Ricardo is the older. When he looked at me getting out of the car he smiled. I was talking to him for some minutes, his mother told me that Ricardo has started to go to Clinica San Juan de Dios a special clinic where he will receive help to walk in the future.
Well..for now this is all the news.
